Day 13 – Final Publishing Studio & Author Showcase Preparation
Time: 8:30 AM – 2:30 PM
Focus
Today is our final publishing workday before tomorrow's Author Showcase. Students will complete every remaining detail of their portfolio, record their author videos, select the anthology cover, and ensure their work is ready for publication.
Learning Objectives
Students will:

Complete and submit a polished digital author portfolio.

Proofread and revise all writing one final time.

Complete any unfinished artwork.

Present and vote on the final anthology cover.

Practice and record a brief author introduction and reading for the showcase video.

Each design team will:

The class will vote to select the official anthology cover for publication.
11:50–12:30 | Lunch
12:30–1:45 | Author Video Recording
Students will first practice with a partner before recording.
Each student will:

Introduce themselves.
-
Share why they selected their favorite chapter.
-
Read 2–3 sentences from that chapter with expression and confidence.
Suggested Script
"Hi! My name is ____________. My favorite chapter is __________ because ____________. I'd like to share a short excerpt from my story."
Teacher records individual clips to create the Author Showcase highlight reel.
1:45–2:20 | Final Artwork & Publishing Check
